Overview

The new headquarters for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is designed to encourage and highlight movement. From the plaza's landscaping, which is designed to resemble muscle fibers, to the seven-story feature stair in the atrium, every detail of the new building is centered around APTA's mission to improve and enhance the health of society. The highlight of the building is undoubtedly the seven-story atrium staircase, which features Synergi's striking white perforated metal guardrail. The building was a recipient of Fitwel's 2021 Best in Building Health Award, further highlighting the focus on the wellbeing of the building's occupants.
