Synergi’s Monumental Undertaking on the Rutgers Stair

Working alongside Rutgers University, HOK, Joseph Jingoli & Son, and our engineering partners, Synergi transformed a complex, weight-heavy, budget-strained concept into a finely engineered, materially efficient, and symbolically resonant feature stair.

A closer look at the story behind Rutgers University Cancer Center Staircase.

Synergi is proud to have contributed to the Rutgers University Cancer Center, a significant advancement in cancer care for the state of New Jersey. Central to the project is a sweeping four-story stair, intentionally designed to echo the shape of a cancer ribbon. The following publication
offers a behind-the-scenes look at Synergi’s challenges and unique innovations throughout our journey in designing, engineering, and installing this monumental staircase. We extend our sincere appreciation to every partner whose collaboration elevated this effort; it was an honor to help shape such a meaningful space.
