Synergi Site Superintendent James Waterman Speaks to His Experience in the Industry
Often at the center of the action, a Site Superintendent oversees virtually every aspect of a given project, including safety, scheduling, and financials.

James’ role requires him to be the link between various project parties, managing the on-site construction team, overseeing safety, health, project costs, and much more.
WHAT EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS ARE NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE?
This role requires a high school diploma, and the skill to read architectural and shop drawings and benchmarks. Having a welding certificate is also beneficial.
HOW MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE ARE REQUIRED IN YOUR INDUSTRY?
In this field, more than 5 years of experience is needed as a prerequisite.

WHAT DOES THE POSITION ENTAIL?
The main responsibility of this job is to keep daily records of the crews, reporting to General Contractors and Project Managers, ensuring updated drawings are available for the crews, quality controls, and safety management.

I work in both the office and the field – in all climates! My position requires measuring tools, lasers, tablets, construction software, cameras, and more.
