Synergi Acquires Alpine Group UK, Advancing Its International Footprint Across North America and the UK

Global provider of end-to-end, bespoke architectural stair solutions expands into the United Kingdom, strengthening its position as a transatlantic leader in staircase design and delivery.

Synergi, an award-winning international team of engineers, fabricators, and installers of turnkey architectural stairs, announced the expansion of its international footprint with the addition of United Kingdom-based staircase specialist Alpine Group UK. The transaction establishes a direct operating presence in the UK and strengthens Synergi’s ability to support architects, contractors, and developers across North America and the United Kingdom.

For over 40 years, Synergi has engineered, fabricated, and installed turnkey architectural stair systems for some of the most recognized developments in the built environment. The firm’s integrated approach—uniting pre-construction coordination, structural engineering, digital modeling, fabrication, and installation—has supported projects including Printemps’ U.S. flagship at One Wall Street, Coinbase’s headquarters at One Madison, Meta’s Hudson Yards campus, Walmart’s new Home Office, and Google’s first mass timber campus.

“This acquisition represents a deliberate investment in our long-term international growth,” said Jim Admiraal, CEO of Synergi. “Alpine has built a respected reputation in the UK market through craftsmanship, strong contractor relationships, and disciplined project delivery. By combining their regional expertise with Synergi’s engineering infrastructure, production methodologies, and global supply chain network, we are strengthening our ability to deliver complex, design-driven stair systems at scale. Together, we are creating a transatlantic platform that enhances capacity, improves efficiency, and supports increasingly ambitious architectural projects across North America and the United Kingdom.”

The acquisition of Alpine Group UK strengthens Synergi’s ability to deliver its integrated stair platform across international construction environments, enabling Synergi to support clients pursuing increasingly complex, multi-market developments. With active projects now spanning North America and the UK, the firm strengthens its ability to provide early engagement, fabrication control, and coordinated installation across international construction environments.

Alpine Group UK, founded in 1974, has established a strong presence across the United Kingdom, delivering bespoke architectural staircases, balustrades, and railing systems for commercial and landmark developments. Its portfolio includes Proskauer’s London offices, the feature stair at The Met Building in London, the feature stair at The Grain House, as well as projects at the Royal Exchange, Roundwood, and Park Street. The firm will continue operating under the Alpine brand, retaining its leadership team and client relationships while gaining access to Synergi’s engineering expertise, fabrication methodologies, and global supply chain network to support greater scale and increasingly complex projects.

“Joining forces with Synergi gives Alpine the infrastructure and technical support to take on larger, more ambitious stair projects across the UK,” said Sean McGrath, CEO of Alpine. “While our leadership and client relationships remain firmly rooted here, we now have the capacity and backing to scale with confidence as demand continues to grow.”

With a strengthened international platform, Synergi continues to expand its capacity, technical depth, and delivery control—supporting increasingly complex and design-driven construction environments worldwide.
